We are seeking a versatile, skilled, and proactive Maintenance and Repair Worker to join our facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing functionality, safety, and appearance of our buildings and equipment. If you possess a wide range of hands-on technical skills—including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC troubleshooting—and take pride in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, this is an outstanding opportunity to support the core operational infrastructure of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
General Repairs: Perform a variety of routine maintenance and repair tasks, including patching drywall, painting, fixing doors/windows, replacing lighting fixtures, and minor flooring repairs.

Systems Maintenance: Execute basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on building systems, including plumbing (clearing clogs, fixing leaks), electrical (replacing outlets, switches), and HVAC units (changing filters, cleaning coils).

Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues before they cause downtime; maintain comprehensive maintenance logs.

Equipment Upkeep: Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, tools, and machinery; assist with the installation of new equipment or office furniture as needed.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations; report major maintenance needs or safety hazards to management immediately.

Work Order Management: Prioritize and respond to daily maintenance work orders, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and with minimal disruption to operations.

External Contractor Liaison: Assist in supervising or coordinating with external contractors for specialized work (e.g., major roofing, heavy electrical, or complex elevator maintenance) when necessary.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; specialized vocational training or apprenticeship in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) is highly desirable.

Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in general building maintenance or a specific skilled trade.

Technical Skills:

Working knowledge of basic tools, equipment, and materials used in facility maintenance.

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.

Personal Attributes:

Physical stamina and agility, including the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or outdoors.

Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to solving problems.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with building staff and management.

Flexibility to be "on call" for emergency repairs and to work varied shifts or weekends when required.
